BUSAN
Busan, also commonly referred to as Pusan, is an international port with a 130-year history, is Korea's largest city of marine logistics. With a population of about four million, it is South Korea's second largest metropolis next to Seoul. The densely populated city is situated in the Nakdong River valley, surrounded with high mountains. It is located in the south east corner of the Korean peninsula (35'10" North, 129'25" East).
Busan is an energetic city which has successfully hosted many international events such as the Asian Games 2002, FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan, ITU Telecom Asia 2004 and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders' Meeting 2005 in which leaders from 21 APEC member countries participated. Besides that, the Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF), which is hosted every year in the city, is regarded as the best film festival in Asia. The city has officially announced its bid to host the 2020 Summer Olympic.
Busan is the so-called summer capital of Korea since it attracts tourists from all over the country to its six beaches. High class hotels and a carnival boardwalk line the Haeundae Beach district, which is generally regarded as the most beautiful beach in Korea. Gwangan Beach is famous for its cafes, bars and restaurants along the beach. The area around Pukyung National University and Kyungsung University has many cafes, bars and restaurants attracting college students and youth.

Haeundae Beach
Haeundae Beach is the Korea's most famous beach surrounded by beautiful nature and easily accessible by public transportation. The Beach is the only place where one can enjoy the beach and spa together. Nearby are also Busan Aquarium, Dongbaek Island, Oryuk Islets, Dalmaji Hill, Yachting Center, and Cheongsapo.
Tip: Haeundae Ferry: A scene of feeding sea gulls, while enjoying the exquisite wonders of Busan aboard the Sightseeing Cruise, is another piece of picture.
How to get there? Take airport bus No. 307 or 2002 or bus No. 40, 139, 140, 240, 302 and get off at Haeundae Beach Bus Stop. The beach is a 10-minute walk away. Get off at Subway Line No. 2 Haeundae Station and 10 minutes walk.

Busan Aquarium
The Aquarium is located near Haeundae Beach. It is one story above ground and three stories under ground and is the largest aquarium in Korea. There are nearly 35,000 sea creatures on display, including rare fish and 250 species of deep-sea creatures, sharks, and penguins.

Bexco BEXCO is the largest one floor building built for exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and other events in Busan and Gyeongnam Province. A source of pride as an international event hall for the Busan people.

How to get there? Take bus No. 5, 36,38, 40, 100, 139, 140, 141, 142, 181, or 240. Get off at Subway Line No. 2 Busan Metro. Art Museum and 10 minutes walk.

Busan Museum of Modern Art Located in the Olympic Park, this Museum supports Busan's growing community for fine arts.
Location: 1413, U 2-dong, Haeundae-gu, opposite BEXCO
Open: 10:00 a.m.~6:00 p.m.(10:00 a.m.~5:00 p.m. winter)
Closing Day: Every Monday, January 1, Lunar New Year's Day, and Moon Festivities Day.
Admission Fee: 700 won for adult, 300 won for student and free for children(No admission fee on Saturdays).
How to get there? Take bus No. 5, 36, 38, 40, 63, 139, 140, 141, 142, 239, or 302 at Suyeong, or No. 31, 100, 100-1, 200, or 307 at Dongnae.

Beomeo Temple The Beomeo Temple was built by a great teacher of Buddhism, Uisang, during the Silla Kingdom Period in 678. It is located at the eastern tip of Mt. Geumjeong. The Beomeo Temple contains lots of cultural assets and relics such as the Beomeo Templethree-storied pagoda and the Main Hall where the image of Buddha is enshrined. The Temple is famous for its dense wisterias. As it is a popular tourist spot in Busan, many people enjoy its beauty.

How to get there? Get off at Subway Line No. 1 Beomeosa Station (Exit No. 5 ~ 7) and take Bus No. 90 at Seungha Mart.
